What you will be doing

The Vendor Management Specialist - Office of CIO plays a vital role in supporting the CIO's strategic objectives by managing relationships with IT vendors, optimizing procurement processes, mitigating risks, and driving innovation and value creation through effective vendor partnerships.

  • Vendor Selection: Partner with Worldpay Procurement to Identify and evaluate potential vendors specializing in IT products and services, considering factors such as technology compatibility, innovation, and industry expertise.

  • Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives, foster collaboration, and drive innovation.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor IT vendor performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), and proactively address any deviations or deficiencies.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT vendor relationships

  • Compliance Management: Ensure IT vendor compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and corporate policies, particularly in areas such as data privacy, security, and software licensing.

  • Cost Management: Optimize IT vendor-related expenses by identifying cost-saving opportunities, negotiating competitive pricing, and rationalizing vendor portfolios to minimize duplication and maximize value.

  • Vendor Development: Collaborate with IT vendors to explore opportunities for joint innovation, process optimization, and knowledge sharing that enhance the organization's technological capabilities and competitive advantage.

  • Issue Resolution: Facilitate the timely resolution of disputes, escalations, or service disruptions with IT vendors, leveraging effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT vendor contracts, performance metrics, correspondence, and incident reports, and generate regular reports for the CIO and other stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Vendor Management - CPVM) preferred.

  • Proven experience in IT vendor management, procurement, or contract negotiation, preferably within a technology-intensive environment.

  • Strong understanding of IT procurement processes, vendor management best practices, and emerging trends in IT sourcing and outsourcing.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess vendor performance, analyze contract terms, and identify opportunities for improvement.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
